The challenge

Great work, hard to find

Lake Glass & Mirror has been doing beautiful work in Leesburg since 1983. Online, though, a homeowner searching for a shower enclosure would scroll right past them. Four things were holding them back.

  • No shower page

Google had nothing to show for the service they wanted to grow most.

  • Mixed-up listings

Their address appeared two different ways across 13 directories.

  • A thin Google Business Profile

Missing categories, extra phone numbers, and dozens of unanswered reviews.

  • Invisible in The Villages

They ranked 14th to 20th in the market they wanted most.

What we did

Fix the basics, then keep building

No single trick moved this ranking. It came from getting the fundamentals right, then building on them month after month.

Web design + local SEO

A shower page that answers real questions

We built a dedicated Shower Enclosures page covering styles, the process, service areas, and common questions. Behind the scenes, structured data tells Google exactly what Lake Glass offers and which towns it serves.

When the map showed weak spots around Oxford and Stonecrest, we named those towns on the page directly.

Google Business Profile

Rebuilt the profile

Added the right categories, including Shower door shop, wrote a real description, removed duplicate phone numbers, and replied personally to dozens of past reviews.

Local SEO

Fixed listings across the web

Corrected the address on 13 directories, including Apple Maps, Yelp, BBB, and YellowPages, and verified the business on Apple Business Connect.

Web design

Made the site faster

Removed a slow image slider, sped up mobile load times, and cleaned up the heading structure and technical details search engines check.

Local SEO

Measured everything

Regular map scans showed where they ranked, street by street, so we always knew where to focus next instead of guessing.

Any good agency can do those things. Then came the part only we could do.

The part only we could do

The Style advantage

We publish Lake & Sumter Style, the region’s magazine for 20 years. So Lake Glass & Mirror didn’t just get a better website. They got in front of the homeowners they wanted most, in print and online, from a name those homeowners already trust. And every piece pointed straight to the new shower page.

20 years The region’s magazine
1.4 million Website visits a year
60,000+ Social followers

When the team behind your rankings also publishes the region’s top magazine, every ad, article, and story pulls in the same direction, backed by 20 years of local trust and authority.

Each dot is a spot on the map where we checked who shows up for “frameless shower enclosure.” Green means Lake Glass & Mirror is in the top three. Orange is 4th to 10th. Red means a homeowner there would likely never find them.

What that means on the ground

  • Top spot at home. They’re the first glass company a homeowner sees across Leesburg, Fruitland Park, and much of the surrounding area.
  • In the running in The Villages. Around Oxford, Lady Lake, and Stonecrest, they moved from 14th–20th to mostly 4th and 5th.
  • Ahead of every competitor. They passed businesses with far more Google reviews.
  • The phone rang. In October, Bert extended our engagement by six months.

The Akers Wave is real. We’re just trying to stay on top of it.
